Allisha Amos is the the Founder of Journeys Of Promise, as well as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. She is an enrolled member of the Sioux Nation from the Fort Peck Assinaboine Sioux reservation in Poplar, Montana, where she was born. Prior to founding Journeys Of Promise, Allisha co-owned 2 other successful businesses alongside her then husband, Brandon Amos, which were Amos Fence of Descanso, California and Custom Home and Property Services of Bloomington, Indiana. Along with multiple family members who served in the Marines, Navy, and Army branches of the the United States military, Allisha’s very own son, chose a lifelong military career. Her oldest daughter showed her the importance of art, not just as a form of expression, but as an emotional outlet, an exercise in creativity, and that it can be therapeutic, which can benefit mental health. These two things, along with recognizing the dire need for title types of assistance to help the people of her tribe, is why Allisha has chosen for this organization to focus on Native Americans, Veterans, and local artists or anyone interested in visual arts. As Program Director, Allisha oversees the operations of this organization at every level, yet she insists on being proactive in every mission, having always been a “boots on the ground” kind of person, who isnt afraid to get her hands dirty, and whatever else it takes to get the job done. Helping people, especially those in need, is what Allisha Amos chose to do with the rest of her life because she wanted to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in people’s lives, and that is what she hopes that she will be remembered for!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
